Dear Friends,
From December 7th – 18th, world leaders willgather in Copenhagen to negotiate a new Framework Agreement to containglobal climate warming.
Everyone hopes the outcome of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (COP15)will be a binding agreement. However, we know that the CanadianGovernment has embarrassed Canadians at the three previous COPs byblocking constructive international progress.
Please find ways tobe heard in the build-up to and during COP15, so that Prime MinisterHarper and Environment Minister Jim Prentice stop obstructing globalwarming action, and instead listen to what Canadians want.
Canadianswant science-based targets to limit the risk of dangerous climatewarming. Canadians believe Canada should do its part for theenvironment, even when times are tough. They understand investments inclean energy will pay dividends by building an innovation economy.
Canadians want leadership.
