This month our invited speaker is Dr. Paul Cappon, President and CEO, Canadian Council on Learning based in Ottawa. Dr. Cappon is a lifelong education advocate, prominent doctor, and author of numerous publications on learning and community medicine.
Dr. Cappon will share highlights of the council’s final report. The report raises alarms about Canada’s slide down the international learning curve, how ongoing decline in student achievement represents lost opportunities for Canada’s youth, and will undermine Canada’s economic competitiveness in the future.
