FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Joyce Murray MP and Dirk Brinkman wish to express their condolences to the friends and family of Milton Wong, who passed away on December 31st, 2011.
Milton sometimes talked about the deep prejudice towards Chinese Canadians that he and his brothers faced in their youth in Vancouver. From these beginnings he rose to become one of Vancouver’s most effective, compassionate, and generous statesmen. Much admired for the force of his penetrating analysis, and the determination with which he pursued his objective to improve his beloved city and country, Milton’s clarity inspired others to also take action. We were privileged to call him a friend.
I share with you the statement from Liberal Leader Bob Rae below.
